If you have just rededicated your life to Jesus, we just want you to know we are so glad you did! You have made a decision that you will never regret for as long as you live. Many times when a person comes back to Jesus, they find their Christian walk different from what it was before. God has given us some guidelines in His Word on how we can have a stronger walk with the Lord and live in the abundant life He has promised us.
It is important for you to know, since you have asked God to forgive your past sins, He has forgiven them, not because you feel as though He did, but because the Bible said He did. I John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to FORGIVE us our sins, and to CLEANSE us from all unrighteousness.” When we ask God to forgive us, He does, and He does not remember our past sins or failures. (Isaiah 43:25).
Second, forgive yourself and walk on with the Lord and DON’T LOOK BACK. Philippians 3:13 says, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended; but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.”
Third, begin to say what God says about you and not how you feel. Philippians 1:6 says, “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Please feel free to call me here at the church. I want to help you in any way I can. Until I see you again, may our Father reveal to you how much He cares for you!
