Faith Confessions Bring Realities
Confession is affirming something we believe; it is testifying to something we know; it is witnessing for a truth we have embraced. Here are some examples of confessions you can declare:
I'm not a doubter, I'm a believer, and I refuse to let unbelief or doubt to rob me from God's greater blessings!
Nothing of the past is equal to the present!
Oh Lord, that which I see not, show thou me. That which I know not, teach thou me. That which thou hast prepared for me, prepare thou me
Exercise Your Authority
You can confess the Word of God to exercise the Authority that has been given to you through Jesus.
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ I exercise authority over this body of mine. Sickness and disease, I refuse to allow you to stay. Poverty and lack, I refuse to allow you to stay. This body, this house, belongs to God. It is the temple of God. Satan, you have no right to trespass on God's property. Now you get out! You leave my body! I've got authority over you. I know it! You know it! And God knows it!
When the confession of our lips harmonizes with the confession of our heart and these two confessions agree or confirm God's Word, then we become mighty in our prayer life.
Your Faith Keeps Pace with Your Confession
Speak your faith until your faith can speak for itself. Confession should center around five facts:
What God in Christ, has wrought for us in the great plan of redemption.
What God, through the Word and the Holy Spirit, has wrought in us in the new birth and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
What we are to God the Father in Christ Jesus.
What Jesus is doing for us right now at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for us.
What God can do through us, or what His Word will do through our lips
All the promises found in the Word are legally ours, but it is our believing them and confessing them which makes them a reality to us. John15:7 "if we abide in Him and His word abides in us then we shall ask what we will and it will be done for us."
Romans 8:1 "there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus: who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit."
Romans 8:2 "for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death."
1 John 4:4 "you are of God little children and have overcome them because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world."
Phil. 4:19 "but my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Romans 8:37 "nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us."
Hebrews 4:14-16 "boldness to come to the throne:"
1 John 5:4-5 "over comers of the world:"
1 John 5:14-15 "the confidence we need to receive from God:"
Acts 17:28 "in Him we live and in Him we move and in Him we have our being: What a vast storehouse of power!"
Jesus Took Our Place
He became as we were, so we might become as He is. He died so we could live. He was made sin to make us righteous. He became weak to make us strong. He suffered shame to give us glory. He went to hell in order to take us to heaven. He was condemned in order to justify us. He was made sick in order that healing might be ours. He was cast out of the presence of God in order to make us welcome there.
