Our mission statement is to win the lost, equip the Saints, through a ministry of integrity. The School of Ministry at Harvest Bible Church exists to train, teach, mentor, and encourage those who desire to be trained for ministry as well as those who desire to learn more about their Faith in Jesus Christ.
We are a full gospel, spirit-filled ministry with an emphasis on the Word and the Spirit. Harvest Bible Church has an assignment to bring the Spirit of Faith to this area, reach more people with the Gospel, and proclaim the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ!
Previously School Of Ministry (also known as SOM) was set up as a two year school designed specifically for those who desired to enter the ministry. We are now offering our courses in a new format to both those who desire to enter ministry as well as those who would like to study specific Bible topics. Students may start anytime as long as he or she registers before the first class session.
Courses will be offered in six week sessions. Two courses will run concurrently; one on Monday nights from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and the other on Tuesday nights from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. You can register for just one or both courses being offered.
The cost for each course will be $30. A list of textbooks will be provided, but the purchase of these textbooks is optional. After registration the course fee is non-refundable. Attendance is required and students must attend the first class session in order to complete the course.
Students who desire to enter the ministry and be licensed/ordained must complete all courses offered. Licensing/ordination is not guaranteed and is handled on a personal case-by-case basis.
Upon graduation students will have a clear understanding of what ministry requires of them along with opportunities to fulfill the call of God on their life. We desire to continue our relationship with graduates to be a blessing to them in counsel, fellowship, and accountability.
Ephesians 4:11-12
"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”
The application only needs to be filled out once. After you return the completed SOM Application to the church office and have been approved, you may register for any course (future and present).
Once your application has been approved you may register for each course. You can register for one course now and then others later if you prefer. The registration form is used each time you would like to sign up for a class.

The cost for each course is $30. If you have been approved and have registered, you may pay with cash or check at the Media Station during any normal service. If you would like to pay by Debit or Credit via PayPal, please email the church office at office@hbcstockton.org for instructions.
Payment is due one week before the start date and is non-refundable.
