2018

Most of us love to receive gifts. Some love to give gifts. Our Father is the biggest giver there is! He gave us His Son as His ultimate gift to the world. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit as the greatest gift to the church. Along with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the Father gave gifts to the Church. We know about the Ministry Gifts, and the Gifts of the Spirit, and the Function gifts, but there are more gifts given for everyone. Our next series is called Gifts. We will look at all of these and it will cause you to want them all. Come expecting to grow and receive everything that is yours.

So many times the devil tells us that we don’t deserve anything. The Bible says to prove all things and hold fast to that which is good. What the Bible promises is true and is ours to enjoy and we can prove it! In this series we’re going to look at the promises and prove to ourselves that everything God promised in His Word is ours.

What good are beliefs if they don’t govern what we think, what we say and what we do? Our beliefs form the treasure we live on and form who we really are. We have a Tenants of Faith here at Harvest Bible Church and we actually believe what it says. In this series we are going through our Tenants of Faith to lay a foundation of the beliefs that Harvest Bible Church stands for. Jesus said, "you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free." If you know truth you won’t fall for any lies!
Special guests, Dr. Guy & Ilke Peh return in 2018 for series of meetings at Harvest Bible Church.
In this series, Pastor Mark and Pam share insights from their trip to Greece and tour of the Apostle Paul's second missionary journey.

John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have LIFE, and that they may have [IT] more abundantly.

This is a wonderful verse! Jesus declared that He came to bring Life and Life more abundantly! What exactly is this life that He is talking about?

The Greek word for life in this verse is Zoe which means a life that is filled with vitality. Jesus wants to give us a life that is unrivaled, unequaled, matchless, incomparable, richly loaded and overflowing with life to the ultimate maximum. Wow, that is some life! In this series we are going to see how we can enter into this life and experience all that He has for us!

The average American couple spends about three minutes a day sharing personally with each other and for many it is less time with the Lord! Relationships are the most important things we have in our lives! Everyone wants a great home life and great relationships. The problem is, we don’t want to work at them. As I often say, people are precious and they have no past! This saying has helped me to navigate many relationships that would have ended quickly. Whether you're single or married, this series we'll help you to have better, healthy relationships!

The greatest experience in life is fellowship! The worst experience in life is broken fellowship! Your relationship with other people is a great indicator of your relationship with the Lord. More than anything else in life relationships either make us or break us! Knowing God the Father is what makes life worth living! To know our Father is to know the answer to every problem we face. Many know Him as Savior, but not as healer, or provider, or wisdom giver, or friend or counselor or deliverer!

John 17:3 tells us, “this is eternal life, knowing God.” Not just having a knowledge of Him but actually being in close fellowship with Him and know what makes Him happy and what makes Him sad! He never shows up where He is not welcome and not wanted! But where He is welcomed and wanted His presence is there and in His presence is fullness of joy! So come this month and find out how amazing your life can be with the right relationships!

The Greek word for resurrection in the Bible means to literally stand up again. Our lives are the path God has chosen to let the world know how great He is. Paul tells us that we’re supposed to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead! Maybe you feel like you’re barely hanging on to life support, but the Lord wants to infuse you with His resurrection power! Jesus wants us to stand up again and declare His mighty acts and miracles to this generation!

2017? What does it hold? Will it be a dream or will we get creamed? I know, I know that was corny! But for many that is exactly where they are at. The future is as bright as the Mercy of God! Jesus is still the Lord of the house! Lord of His Church! The wonderful thing about Him is that He never changes; He doesn’t have too because He is perfect!

God spoke audibly that Jesus was His Son and that He was well pleased with Him! In Hebrews 11:6 it says that without faith it is impossible to please God, because you must believe that God is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him!

Wednesday Night Q&A is our midweek service where you can submit questions and Pastor Mark will answer them from the Bible if he can.

    Submit A Question

All of us have experienced growing pains in our lives. They’re no fun and sometimes quite difficult! Jesus wants us to accept Him as Lord in our life, be filled with the Spirit and to grow up in Him. Being filled with the Spirit is receiving power and a wonderful prayer life! Growing up on the other hand is an ongoing process that we have to do for the rest of our lives.

Just as it is hard to grow up naturally, sometimes it is hard to grow up spiritually. God has given us His Word to grow with. 1 Peter 2:2 says, “as new born babes desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby.” This month we will look at what God’s Word tells us about growing up in the Lord. With growth comes increase!

First Wednesday is a special Wednesday night service the first week of every month where we may have extended worship, word of God is taught, the needs of the people are met and the Holy Spirit is magnified.

    First Sunday Every Month

Jesus went about his life doing 3 things; teaching, preaching and healing. It's God’s will that we are well! Healing belongs to us! Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, so we have set aside the first Sunday night of each month to have a healing service.

Thinking faith thoughts and speaking faith words leads a heart out of defeat and into victory! If we really knew what keeps us from receiving all that is promised to us we would change! Wrong thinking and wrong believing and wrong speaking is what robs us of the blessings promised to us! Have you ever been around people who just weren’t thinking right? They couldn’t get past the wrongs done to them or the things that were said about them. Many are afraid of the future and all of its uncertainty! Jesus has given us all the answers in the Bible! Let’s look into the Word and see just What God thinks about what is going on and what He thinks we should believe and say about it! Isn’t it fun to know the truth? Let’s learn together and enjoy the peace that only Jesus can bring!

The Church doesn’t seem very triumphant these days. It may seem like it’s barely hanging on, but God said that He would build His Church and the gates of hell could not prevail against it! There is an enemy against Christians and he is always trying to get us to give up our freedom and liberty. The Bible tells us who he is and what his ways are to come against us. Jesus gave us Authority and Dominion of all the works of the enemy so let’s come together and learn how to fight the good fight of faith and bring back our King!
One of the greatest mistakes you can make is failure to identify the enemy! When you make God’s enemies your enemies; you also make God’s victory your victory! Your enemy cannot defeat you because Jesus has already defeated him! The only way the enemy can win is to get us to quit. He tries to get us to return to captivity rather than face the conflicts in our lives. In this series you’ll learn the enemy’s tactics and, once you recognize them, how to defeat him through Christ every time!

As we go through life, it’s all too easy to let our circumstances dictate how we feel, but there is a much better way to live! In this series, special guest Dr. Larry Hutton ministeries on how you can overcome all those negative emotions and live in peace all the time!

Are you working with God or do you feel like you are working for him? Actually your answer to this question should be both! We do work with Him and for Him. The Bible tells us that we are to work TOGETHER with God! It is wonderful to know that Jesus wants to work with us, but it is still a blessing to be asked to join Him. It’s also amazing that God has determined the type of seed we are and where we need to be planted! All He wants is our loyalty and faithfulness! Don’t ever be too big to do the small and don’t ever be too small to do the big! In this series, we are going to discover how great it is to be workers together with God!

In my experience the best food comes from scratch. Raw & fresh ingredients are best. Even if it takes more time to make, I believe many would agree that meals “from scratch” are worth the wait. This month we take that approach to our Christian life as we ask these questions: What is the recipe for getting to know God? Are there main ingredients? Where do I find them? Can we use substitutes? The answers and more await!

Have you ever heard the statement, “What is left but praise?” Sometimes we pray and pray and pray and forget that when we pray, we believe, and when we believe we praise! Romans 15:13 says, "now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit." There is tremendous power in praise and worship! If we really believe then we will have the appropriate response which is a shout of praise! We are going to raise the roof this month and create an atmosphere for God to move in our midst!

Special guests Dr. Guy & Ilke Peh join us for series of meetings at Harvest Bible Church.

What do you have your faith in?

What a powerful question. Everybody has their faith in something. The Bible tells us that we are to prosper spirit, soul, body as well as socially and financially. Jesus wants your faith to work in every area of your life, but in order for that to happen we have to put first things first! 3 John 2 says,

“Beloved I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.”

If we understand how to prosper in our spirit and our soul then all the other areas will fall into place. This month we will explore what our faith should be in. Let’s come expecting!

During this three part series, special guest Joseph Morris ministers on seeing the precise signs of Christ's return.

    Reach.. Build.... HONOR.

Honor is a BIG deal. It’s no surprise, we live in a world that lacks integrity, where political correctness is held higher than biblical values, where promises are broken and trust is harder than ever to earn for fear of being shattered.

We must learn what it means to hold on to our convictions by Honoring God, His Word and His Church even when it’s not easy or convenient.

    • What is honor?
    • What does it mean to live a life of honor?
    • Why is it important to have honor in my life?
    • How can I honor God and others?
    • How do I live with honor in today’s culture?

This month we dive in and discover what the third part of our vision of Harvest Bible Church means.

    Reach. Build. Honor.

Show and Tell is a common activity for children in school. Kids bring their favorite things and explain there importance. As I was thinking about this series, the phrase “Show Then Tell” came up in my spirit. The Lord began to share with me that if we would take this concept about sharing His love and kindness to the world we would have a far greater influence. If we will show through our lives His goodness and kindness and then share what we believe, it will be received far better.

Ours is neither to make names for ourselves nor to build lasting institutions, but to meet the needs of broken people through the ministry of mercy. The church is a place where righteousness and mercy meet. We need to help people see how the Gospel can be relevant to their everyday lives. We can’t share the Good News and be the Bad News at the same time, it doesn’t work. Our role is to enjoy the flow of God’s life through us as we share our joy with others! When we are willing to serve without response, then we know we are beginning to move in the love of God. Being the message always precedes telling the message.

Let’s leave a lasting legacy for all to see and follow!

The Holy Spirit is our helper, comforter, counselor, advocate, intercessor, strengthener and standby! Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to teach us to become more like Him.
